What is New Bitshares?
New Bitshares is a public blockchain infrastructure that started off as a decentralized digital asset exchange. NBS provides an open source solution for decentralized finance businesses and decentralized exchanges, implemented with DAO’s institutional management structure and Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) mechanism.
This is a consensus algorithm developed to ensure fairness in the voting process, avoiding centralization and malicious use. The graphene technology used by NBS is one of the most advanced blockchain technologies on the market.
New Bitshares is forked from BitShares (BTS). This fork will reverse unapproved functions for BTS4.0, other functions of BTS4.0 will continue to be used. Functions that will not be included in the NBS include:
- Reduce voting weight
- One vote for one election
- Lock votes
- Calculate the account that does not lock the vote by 0
- Remove the right to vote when BTS is used as collateral
